He graduated in medicine from the Universidad del Rosario and obtained his ophthalmology degree in 1997 through the Hospital de San José, and teaches in the ophthalmology postgraduate program of the Fundación Universitaria Sanitas. His practice covers cataract surgery with premium intraocular lenses, LASIK and LASEK, phakic lens implants, keratoconus treatment, corneal transplant and glaucoma surgery.
