I recently traveled all the way from New York to Bogotá for the Lasik procedure performed by Dr. Vanessa, and I couldn't be more satisfied with the entire experience. From the moment I walked into the clinic, Dr. Vanessa and her team were incredibly professional and made me feel at ease. She took the time to explain the entire Lasik process, addressing all my concerns and ensuring I felt comfortable every step of the way. What sets Dr. Vanessa apart is her unwavering commitment to her patients. She was there for me from beginning to end, providing personalized care and attention. After the procedure, when she learned I was alone and staying at a hotel, she went above and beyond by personally taking me back to my hotel to ensure I was safe and comfortable during the recovery period. The Lasik procedure itself was smooth and virtually painless. Dr Vanessa isn’t just excellent at what she does, she also made me feel at ease before, during and after the procedure. From the very first moment I entered her office, I felt I was in great and capable hands. After about 3 months, my vision has stabilized at about 20/20. Like Dr Vanessa told me, the procedure I got (PRK), requires some patience, but the results are undeniable: I can finally see very well without glasses and I’m very thankful to Dr Vanessa for making this possible.

I looked through many places offering LASIK and found Dr Vanessa who took the time to answer all of my questions. I traveled from Dallas a year ago and got the surgery, I am very satisfied with the results a full year later!

Dr. Mendoza is incredibly patient and kind. She performed Lasek on my eyes with very minimal side effects. Some pain was expected BUT I didn't experience any pain at all, which I believe is a testament to her expertise and professionalism. My eyes were initially dry, but they improved significantly within just a few days. Besides, she's at least bilingual and speaks fluent English. She carried out the surgery with great care, and I highly recommend her to anyone considering eye surgery! Choose wisely - you have just a set of eyes. She may well be the very best in town!

Dr Vanessa is amazing. I came from the united states to have my LASIK treatment with her as its a fraction of the cost in the United States. She is very passionate about her work and the passion shows thorough every appointment and follow up appointment. In my experience she did thorough tests to make sure i was a candidate for Lasik even though i told her I already had been tested at the Lasik Eye institute in the US she told me she wanted to do them all again just to be sure. (Thorough and passionate.) After all the tests were completed to perfection she accompanied me to the surgery area where i had to change into scrubs they clean your face and put in eye drops and then the whole operation takes about 10 minutes with mulitple people in the room making sure everything is going well you can tell this team does a lot of surgeries and operates like a well oiled machine. After surgery immediately i was expecting discomfort or pain to my surprise there was none. She did a post OP evaluation to make sure everything was perfect and that i didnt have any concerns. She sent me home with eye drops and clear instructions. She wanted to see me back the next day and 2 days after that and because i stayed for a week she wanted to see me again before i left just to make sure everything is perfect. By the way all the follow up appointments were completely free im guessing it was included in the cheap price of like 900$ compared to the 5000$ cost in the states and i have access to my surgeon at my finger tips. If youre thinking about doing it, but scared or nervous take the leap its the best money ive ever spent! Oh and she speaks English! Thank you Dr Vanessa now i can chase my dreams of being a pilot!
