Dr. Camilo Andrés Tobón Mesa is an ophthalmologist in Manizales, Colombia, subspecialized in retina, vitreous and macular disease. He earned his medical degree at the Universidad de Caldas and completed ophthalmology training at the Universidad de Antioquia, followed by retina-and-vitreous subspecialty training at the Instituto Nacional de Oftalmología in Lima and macula training at the Instituto de Mácula. He is a member of the Sociedad Colombiana de Oftalmología, the American Academy of Ophthalmology and the European Society of Retina Specialists, and is a past president of the Asociación Colombiana de Retina y Vítreo (ACOREV). His practice covers ophthalmological consultation and emergency eye care, medical and surgical management of retinal and vitreous conditions, and correction of refractive errors.
