⚠️ BEWARE – Excellent Dentist, But Misleading Pricing (Especially for Black Travelers) Dr. Fanny Valera seems to be an excellent dentist and her clinic is beautiful, clean, and modern — although we didn’t have invasive work completed by her. The pricing transparency is poor. I was charged $274 USD for one top retainer, even though her website lists $225 USD for 24-hour or same-day service. The extra “expedited” fee was never explained, and she wouldn’t honor the listed rate. I also misunderstood the quote (I thought it was for both top + bottom) because I missed a message while on an excursion — but once I explained that, things became tense instead of understanding. The quality of her work is great, but prices are VIP-level without warning and they pretended to not know how their pricing compared to others. Ask for written quotes, confirm if it’s per arch, and clarify any rush fees before treatment. P.s. the retainers that were given were not tight enough. I reached out to them regarding this and was completely ignored. So I have changed it from two stars to one stars as now the work that we were grossly overcharged for was not done effectively.

We had the pleasure of meeting Dr. Fanny, my husband had a whole lot of work done and I had some minor work. We have nothing but positive words to say about our dental experience here. Very knowledgeable, caring, and quality service. It maybe on the more pricer side; but Dr. Fanny is also a professor at the University, so if you don’t want to pay high price and need something more to your budget go to the local centres near by. We enjoyed our experience. She runs a business so she has expenses to cover, any business professional would know that. She gets the job done and speaks perfect English. Not a lot of medical professionals do. We were happy with our experience. Thank you 🙏 for a great patient experience.

My experience with Dr Valera was exceptional. I came to her with multiple issues and differing implants from different countries. She worked with diligence and perseverance and care and the results are fantastic. She gave me back my smile and my life. Thank you Dr Valera!

Dr Valera made me zirconia crowns on the front, they look very natural, you can't even tell, I'm very happy, the best dentist in Cartagena
