Cost of Full Mouth Dental Implants in Colombia

Updated 22 September 2026. Information only, not medical advice.

Full mouth dental implants in Colombia cost about $13,000 to $19,000 for both arches restored with acrylic All-on-4 bridges, rising to $15,000 to $35,000 for a complete implant-based rehabilitation with grafting and permanent materials. A single arch is $6,500 to $9,500 on four implants in acrylic, $10,000 to $12,500 in zirconia, and $8,800 to $11,500 for All-on-6. The same work in the United States runs $30,000 to $55,000 for both arches. Colombian figures are advertised clinic prices, not audited fee-survey data.

Quick answer

  • All-on-4 in Colombia costs $6,500 to $9,500 per arch with an acrylic bridge and $10,000 to $12,500 per arch with zirconia.
  • All-on-6 in Colombia costs $8,800 to $11,500 per arch, against $25,000 to $30,000 in the United States.
  • Both arches with acrylic All-on-4 bridges cost $13,000 to $19,000 in Colombia versus $30,000 to $55,000 in the United States, a saving of roughly 37% to 76%.
  • Upgrading from acrylic to a zirconia prosthesis adds $2,300 to $3,400 per arch in Colombia, against $10,000 to $13,000 in the United States.
  • Colombian All-on-4 prices span 2.5 times, $5,000 to $12,500 per arch. The low end almost always means an acrylic provisional, not the final bridge.
  • Treatment is usually a 7 to 10 day trip, plus a second trip 4 to 6 months later for the definitive bridge.

How much does a full arch of implants cost in Colombia?

A full arch on four implants is $6,500 to $9,500 with an acrylic or PMMA bridge and $10,000 to $12,500 with porcelain or zirconia. All-on-6 is $8,800 to $11,500. These are advertised prices, not surveyed fees; no Colombian equivalent of an audited dental fee survey exists.

Full-arch option Colombia (2026) United States You save
All-on-4, per arch, acrylic or PMMA bridge $6,500 to $9,500 $20,000 to $28,000 About 53% to 77%

Full-mouth implant rehabilitation, both arches $15,000 to $35,000 $30,000 to $70,000 and up Up to about 79%; ranges overlap at the top

The last row deserves a second look. The top of the Colombian range, $35,000, sits above the bottom of the American one, $30,000. A complex Colombian rehabilitation with heavy grafting and zirconia in both arches can cost more than a straightforward US case. The saving is real on average, not automatic. For contrast, a single restored tooth is $1,100 to $1,500, covered in our complete guide to dental implant costs in Colombia.

Why does Colombian All-on-4 pricing span 2.5 times?

Because the cheapest quotes are not pricing the same finished result. Across Colombian clinics, All-on-4 is advertised anywhere from $5,000 to $12,500 per arch. The low end almost always covers an acrylic provisional bridge, the temporary teeth you wear while healing, not the definitive prosthesis you will still be wearing in five years. The final bridge is a separate line item on a separate trip.

American advertising has the mirror-image problem: cost analysts note US “starting at” full-arch prices often exclude extractions, sedation and the permanent bridge, which is why credible US ranges for one acrylic arch are $20,000 to $28,000 while individual sources put the spread at $11,000 to $38,000. When two quotes are far apart, the question is not “why is this one cheap” but “which prosthesis am I being quoted, and for how long am I meant to wear it”.

Acrylic or zirconia: what does the upgrade cost?

In Colombia, moving from an acrylic or PMMA bridge to porcelain or zirconia adds roughly $2,300 to $3,400 per arch. The same upgrade in the United States adds $10,000 to $13,000. Proportionally this is where Colombia is most competitive: the upgrade costs about 66% to 82% less, which is why patients who would have accepted acrylic at home often choose zirconia in Colombia for less than the American acrylic price. A usable quote therefore states three things: which material the provisional is, which material the final bridge is, and which trip each is billed on.

All-on-4 or All-on-6?

All-on-6 is $8,800 to $11,500 per arch against $6,500 to $9,500 for acrylic All-on-4, so in Colombia the gap is a few thousand dollars rather than a different category of spending. In the United States both converge in the $25,000 to $30,000 band, which is part of why American patients are rarely offered a real choice. Which configuration suits you depends on bone volume and bite forces, decided after a CBCT scan and not from a price list. Ask the clinic to price both and explain in writing why it proposes four implants rather than six.

Who is a good candidate, and who is not?

Full-arch work suits someone who has already lost most or all teeth in an arch, or whose remaining teeth are failing and due for extraction. It is large and largely irreversible, and several situations make it a poor fit for treatment abroad:

  • You need extensive bone grafting. Some clinics add a phase before implant surgery for significant grafting, adding months and cost. Grafts run $300 to $700 per site, with individual quotes reaching $1,485; a sinus lift adds $600 to $1,430.
  • You smoke. At least one Colombian clinic explicitly excludes smoking-related failure during the roughly six-month osseointegration period from its warranty. That is precisely the window you spend at home.
  • You cannot commit to a second trip. The definitive bridge normally needs a return visit 4 to 6 months later. Without it you live long-term in a provisional not designed for it.
  • You have complicating medical conditions. A 2020 case report in Dental Update described a medically compromised 71-year-old with immediate implant failure after treatment abroad, leaving the home dentist to manage a system they had not placed.
  • You want it because it is on offer. Extracting remaining teeth for a full-arch bridge is a clinical judgement, not a package deal.

How many trips does full-mouth treatment take?

Most clinics run full-arch cases as a single trip of 7 to 10 days, placing the implants and fitting an immediate temporary bridge, then a second trip 4 to 6 months later for the definitive bridge. Some structure it as two trips six months apart with all surgery in the first; others describe two phases and sometimes three, with an extra phase where heavy grafting is needed.

Before choosing immediate loading, weigh the evidence. Under the ITI consensus definitions it means the prosthesis is in occlusion within one week of placement. A 2015 meta-analysis in Scientific Reports found early loading carried a significantly higher failure risk than conventional loading (relative risk 2.09, 95% confidence interval 1.18 to 3.69, P=0.01). Same-week teeth are widely offered, but the evidence still favours the slower protocol.

What the full-mouth price does not include, and what can go wrong

Packages generally cover the consultation, CBCT or panoramic imaging, surgery, anaesthetic, lab work, the provisional, medication, in-stay follow-ups, transfers and a bilingual coordinator. Excluded in most cases: flights, meals, and critically the second trip for the final bridge. Extractions, sedation and grafting are frequently priced separately. One clinic’s published travel model puts trip one at $1,700 to $2,400 and trip two at $650 to $1,150, a total of $2,850 to $4,200. On a $16,000 case that is 18% to 26% on top of treatment, which is why full-mouth work travels well while a single tooth does not.

The structural risk is that the long integration window happens 2,000 miles from the surgeon. Advertised warranties run 5 to 15 years on implants and 1 to 10 years on prosthetics, are self-reported, and exclude smoking-related failure, accidental damage and wear from skipping a prescribed night guard. One clinic covers the return flight for remedial work, which is unusual and is the standard worth asking for: a warranty requiring a flight you cannot afford is not much of a warranty. The California Dental Association warns that patients may have limited legal recourse abroad, possibly needing a foreign attorney to pursue a negligence claim. Take home the implant passport; a bridge on unidentifiable implants is expensive for any dentist at home to service.

How to vet a full-arch clinic

Ask for the surgeon’s ReTHUS registration number and verify it by ID in Colombia’s national registry of health professionals, created under Ley 1164 de 2007, which also records disciplinary sanctions reported by ethical tribunals. Ask separately for the clinic’s código de habilitación in the REPS provider registry, and check any claimed especialización is registered rather than merely asserted. Note that SOCI membership is a continuing-education affiliation, not a licence, and that no JCI-accredited dental clinic was found in Colombia. Frequently asked questions

How much are full mouth dental implants in Colombia?

About $13,000 to $19,000 for both arches with acrylic All-on-4 bridges, and $15,000 to $35,000 for a full implant-based rehabilitation with grafting and permanent materials. The same work in the United States runs $30,000 to $55,000, and beyond $70,000 for complex cases.

Why is one Colombian All-on-4 quote $5,000 and another $12,500?

Usually because the cheaper one prices an acrylic provisional while the dearer one prices a finished zirconia prosthesis, and because extractions, grafting and sedation may sit outside the number. Ask which prosthesis is included and what is billed on the second trip.

Can I get the whole mouth done in one trip?

You can usually leave with fixed temporary teeth in one 7 to 10 day trip, but the definitive bridge normally needs a return visit after healing. Treat any promise of a permanent full-mouth result in a single week with caution.
