Dr. Yeimy Alvarez and her entire team were absolutely exceptional. From the moment I arrived, every part of the hair-transplant process was handled with an incredible level of professionalism, precision, and care. The attention to detail was impeccable, and I felt comfortable, informed, and genuinely cared for throughout the entire experience. I had previously gone to a prestigious doctor in Chicago, but this was on an entirely different level when it came to service, organization, personal attention, and overall patient experience. Dr. Alvarez and her staff made what could have been a stressful procedure feel seamless. I truly cannot say enough about the quality of care I received. I would give Dr. Alvarez and her team a 10/10 review if I could. I recommend them without hesitation to anyone considering a hair transplant.

Just had a repair to my front hairline. I trusted Dr Yeimy to just do her best work and I already can see I won’t be disappointed. Having realistic expectations from the start is key. This pic is three days after surgery. I’m sure my updates to this post will remain positive. The experience with staff all around was professional and polished. I’m so glad I went here from Florida vs traveling to Turkey. The luxury service, follow up cleaning and care Betsy, Sandra, Jose with the camera, even the cleaning lady and all the other unnamed staff had a warm smile and a hello. Best of all was Richard driving us for every appointment and airport delivery. Super bueno!!! Better than expected!

When I first had my hair transplant with Dr. Yeimy Álvarez, I left a 5-star review because I truly felt the care, professionalism, and overall experience were excellent. Dr. Álvarez is kind, knowledgeable, and genuinely cares about her patients. Her staff has also been wonderful throughout the process. I am now about 8–9 months into my hair transplant journey and have returned to Barranquilla three times, including multiple PRP treatments. I have followed the post-operative instructions, been patient with the process, and made the trips back from the United States because I wanted to give the procedure every opportunity to succeed. My main concern at this point is the density of my hairline. Before surgery, I specifically explained that my goal was a very full, thick hairline. While I have seen growth, I do not feel the density is where I expected it to be at this stage. Dr. Álvarez has advised me to wait until the 15-month mark because additional hairs may still emerge, and I sincerely hope that happens. With that in mind if that’s the case, the hairline would incredible. I remain optimistic and will gladly update this review if the density improves as expected. The only disappointing experience I had was during my most recent visit. Transportation to the airport had been arranged, but because of heavy rain and election-related traffic, there was confusion, and I was asked to find alternative transportation on my own. When you’re in another country and trying to catch an international flight, that creates unnecessary stress. Fortunately, everything worked out, but I think communication in situations like that could be handled better. I’m writing this review because I believe it’s important for future patients to hear an honest, balanced experience. I have recommended Dr. Álvarez to friends, and a few have also traveled there for procedures. One friend experienced a similar concern regarding density and ultimately returned for additional grafts. Overall, I still believe Dr. Álvarez is an excellent physician and that her team genuinely cares about their patients. My only concern is whether I’ll achieve the fullness I originally requested or whether I may need another procedure. Traveling internationally multiple times means time away from work and additional expense, so naturally I hope the final result meets my expectations. For now, I am waiting until the 15-month mark before making a final judgment, and I hope to update this review with the thick, natural hairline I originally envisioned.

Treated like a king! A hair transplant had been on my mind for a few years, and last year I finally decided to seriously look into it. I went deep down the rabbit hole comparing Turkey, Mexico, and Colombia. Let me tell you, from everything I researched and heard from others, you won’t be disappointed choosing Dr. Yeimy Alvarez and her clinic. From the start, communication with the staff was great. They were responsive, helpful, and easy to deal with. Once I committed, we set a date and they gave me guidelines, including medications and supplements to improve my hair beforehand. Honestly, those alone made a noticeable difference, even before the transplant. They also checked in periodically leading up to the trip, which I appreciated. Then comes the travel. You arrive in Barranquilla and get picked up by your driver. If you get someone like I did, you might actually make a friend out of it. They handle all your transportation between the hotel and clinic, which makes things stress free. At the clinic, you’re welcomed with a smile and treated extremely well, to the point where they wouldn’t even let me open doors. Ha! Dr. Alvarez and her team took the time to answer all my questions and made sure I understood everything before starting. They take detailed before photos, then get you set up for the procedure. The transplant itself was honestly way better than I expected. It’s a long day, no way around that, but they keep you comfortable. I was watching music videos and movies most of the time. Afterward, they give you very clear instructions and follow up daily for the next few days, which is huge. I’m currently in the recovery phase and looking forward to seeing the full results in about 5 to 6 months, but based on everything so far, I’m really happy with my decision.
