We took my 72-year-old father to the doctor in Medellin. He examined him, reviewed his tests, and without any anesthesia, told him he had cancer. After this news and a thorough abdominal examination, he remained for four days and died from peritonitis. Behind every patient is a whole family who misses and mourns them.
