I want to thank Dr. Alberto Ricaurte for the excellent care I received. On July 13th, I was admitted to the Santa Fe Clinic's emergency room with severe pain in my lower right abdomen. After the necessary tests, I was diagnosed with appendicitis, and the doctor performed my surgery in the early morning of July 14th. From the very first moment, he instilled a great sense of calm. He was very approachable, clearly explained what was happening, and was always willing to answer my questions. This way of treating his patients made me feel very confident going into surgery, something that truly makes all the difference in an emergency situation. I also want to highlight how he handled my family. After the surgery, he spoke with the family member who was with me and also took the time to message other relatives who were out of town via WhatsApp. Despite the late hour, this gesture reassured them and made us feel very supported throughout the entire process. The follow-up care was equally excellent. Before discharging me, he examined me, clearly explained the recovery recommendations, and scheduled my follow-up appointment. Fifteen days later, I attended the appointment and, once again, received highly professional and attentive care. Although my case was an emergency, if anyone needs a general, advanced laparoscopic, or bariatric surgeon, I would recommend Dr. Alberto Ricaurte with complete confidence. I am very grateful for his professionalism, the quality of his care, and the peace of mind he instilled in me and my family throughout the entire process.
