About Pasteur Lab
Pasteur Laboratorios Clinicos de Colombia is a clinical diagnostic laboratory with a branch in Santa Marta (including the Rodadero area) and additional locations along Colombia’s Caribbean coast in Barranquilla, Soledad and Cartagena. It offers a broad menu of clinical laboratory testing organized by medical specialty, spanning fields such as gynecology, endocrinology, hematology and pediatrics. Cytology services are provided, including thin-layer (liquid-based) cervical cytology, a technique the laboratory describes as more sensitive for detecting abnormal cells than the conventional Pap method. Other services include home and in-facility sample collection, online results and payment, and occupational-health exams. The laboratory notes ONAC accreditation and oversight by Colombia’s health superintendency (Supersalud). The website is in Spanish, and international-patient support is not specified. Santa Marta is a Caribbean coastal city easily reached by patients seeking preventive lab work.

I was finally able to get a proper test after spending two years in Asia, where it’s surprisingly hard to find accurate herpes testing. For anyone in South America, take advantage of the herpes test here — you’re lucky to have access to it. Many countries don’t offer it properly, and it’s such an important test that most people skip when doing a standard STD panel. I got tested for several things, but the main one I wanted to check was herpes — and I’m happy to say it came back negative. The process was smooth, professional, and very reassuring. It’s so important to know your status, stay educated, and get properly tested. Stay safe, stay smart, and always use protection.
Very good and on time.
Super.
I went to the Santa Marta laboratory at 9:20 am, according to the opening hours. It turns out they weren't taking samples, so why are they informing the community that the opening hours are until 12 pm today?
An eight-and-a-half-months-pregnant woman arrived without having eaten breakfast for a test, and they refused to give her priority, making her wait a long time. They claimed they only see patients in order of arrival. A truly terrible policy, very irresponsible.
