My best experience so far in Medellin in seven years, professional, knowledgeable, no need to look anywhere else.

I went in about a month ago because I found a lump on one of my testicals. My spanish is still bad so I looked for someone that spoke English. Over a month and I have no idea about what the lump is, and I am tired of being worried if I have cancer. The doctor keeps talking about my prostate. I finally stood up and told the doctor I won't do anything until he figures out what the lump is. Now they have no appointments in the afternoon and only in the morning when I am busy. Thank you for your response. I'd like to address several ongoing concerns: During our initial meeting, you asked whether I would prefer to communicate in Spanish or English. I indicated English, as my Spanish proficiency is limited and insufficient for discussing medical conditions and treatment options. Given this, I find it concerning that your receptionist continues to communicate with me in Spanish despite my stated preference. When a patient repeatedly asks the same questions, it typically indicates that the answers provided have not been understood. I respectfully request that your team adjust their communication approach accordingly. Regarding the urine test issue, I still do not understand what you are referring to. I have explained this multiple times. The only indication of any concern came from a single test that was not properly explained to me beforehand, leaving me unprepared for what to expect. I had previously raised this concern, and it was acknowledged at the time. Effective communication is essential to quality healthcare. Regardless of clinical expertise, if communication breaks down, the patient experience suffers significantly. I hope we can resolve these issues moving forward.

My experience with my family member during their consultation was clearly unsatisfactory. The care was characterized by a lack of empathy, a distant and at times perceived as arrogant attitude, which hindered communication and the ability to adequately express the reason for the consultation. The consultation was rushed, and there was little willingness to fully listen to the medical history. Furthermore, errors and inaccuracies were identified in the information recorded in the medical record, which raises serious doubts about the rigor of the evaluation process. Overall, the care does not meet acceptable standards of quality in the doctor-patient relationship or in the proper collection of clinical information. Based on my experience, I would not recommend this professional.
