Dr. Carlos Alberto Velasco

I had an amazing experience with Dr. Velasco. After doing extensive research and consulting with several surgeons, I decided to move forward with Dr. Velasco because of his strong emphasis on safety. For me, that was extremely important, especially since this was my first surgery and it was being performed outside of my home country, the United States. I underwent a breast lift with implants, liposuction, and fat transfer. During my consultation, Dr. Velasco thoroughly explained what to expect before, during, and after surgery. From our first meeting, I sensed his genuineness, professionalism, and passion for his work. After the consultation, I felt confident in my decision to proceed with him as my surgeon. When I arrived in Colombia, I was naturally a bit nervous. However, meeting with Dr. Velasco the day after my arrival immediately eased my anxiety. He was warm, informative, and attentive. He answered all of my questions and carefully listened to my goals. I specifically requested a more natural and balanced result, and he truly understood my vision. On the day of surgery, I felt genuinely cared for, which helped me feel at ease. When I woke up, everything had gone smoothly. Although I was still swollen, I took a glance at my new body and was amazed by what I saw. It was beautiful. Dr. Velasco later shared photos with me, and I could immediately tell that he had delivered exactly what I had asked for. What impressed me most was that my results looked natural and aligned with the vision I had discussed with him beforehand. Throughout my recovery, Dr. Velasco and his staff monitored me closely. His team was incredibly attentive, compassionate, and supportive during my post-operative care. Their professionalism and kindness made the recovery process much more comfortable. Once I decided to move forward with Dr. Velasco, the entire process became surprisingly easy. His coordinator, Diego, is absolutely amazing and was always available to answer questions and guide me through every step. If you choose to stay at the Recovery House, it makes the experience even more effortless. Transportation, meals, nursing support, post-operative appointments, and daily care were coordinated for me, allowing me to focus solely on my recovery. As someone traveling from the United States for surgery, I felt safe, informed, and supported throughout the entire process. I am still healing and have swelling, but I am already very happy with my results and excited to see my final outcome in the coming months. I will be adding before-and-after photos as my recovery progresses. If I had to make the decision all over again, I would choose Dr. Velasco and his team without hesitation. I am grateful for the care I received and thrilled with my experience so far.

The doctor has many years of experience under his belt. He gives sound and honest advice of what the surgery can accomplish. I had a complication and he did not take any chances about giving me extra care and observation for an extra night in the hospital.

Dr. Velasco is the best. My first surgery with him was 15 years ago and now I came back for the second time with him. I don’t trust anyone else but him. I highly recommend the recovery house if you are having a major surgery the girls here are the best. 10/10.
