This was my second experience with InSer, and unfortunately, it ended with my definitive withdrawal from the clinic after several years of treatment.
I returned because during my first process, despite some communication difficulties, I had also found care, empathy, and compassion. However, this second experience was completely different.
At InSer Cartagena, communication problems began to accumulate: missed appointments, unclear information, and constant changes in timelines. A genetic study that we were initially told would take two to three weeks was later extended to four weeks, and then to four business weeks. The donor selection, one of the most intimate moments of this process, ended up being handled primarily via WhatsApp. I finally discovered, after weeks of waiting, that the donors we were evaluating did not have frozen eggs, even though that had been the specific option we had chosen. When I tried to express my frustration with the lack of clarity, the conversation with my doctor ended with him stating that I seemed to think I was his only patient.
We decided to leave Cartagena and went to InSer Medellín. There, I explained everything that had happened in detail, submitted a letter, and were assured that our experience would be different. We had an excellent consultation, felt heard, and decided to trust them again.
We were informed that the search for a donor would take approximately 7 to 10 days. We immediately complied with every requirement; in fact, the only timely communication we received after the consultation was to request payment of the donor fee, which we made that same day.
Ten days passed, and no one contacted us. I was the one who wrote to ask. They told me someone would call me that same day. The call never came.
Instead, we later received an automated email informing us that the search could take between one and three months and, in some cases, between six months and a year. At the same time, we were informed that we would only have five days to accept the donor once she was presented.
That email completely shattered my trust.
My problem was never that the treatment might take time. I fully understand that medicine has timelines that can't always be controlled. My problem was receiving different information depending on who was speaking to us, having to search for the answers ourselves, and feeling a huge disconnect between the vulnerability of this process and the way we were being supported.
My husband and I promptly completed every test, document, appointment, and payment requested. All we asked for was clarity, consistency, and human support.
Finally, I requested the definitive closure of the treatment, the return of the corresponding funds, our medical records, and the destruction of the stored biological material.
I'm sharing my experience because I would have liked to find detailed testimonials when I was making my own decisions. I know that other people may have had different experiences, but this was ours.
In assisted reproduction, we don't just hand over money. We put our bodies, our emotional health, our time, and one of the most vulnerable dreams of our lives on the line. That's why, for me, trust and human care aren't an added value: they are an essential part of the treatment.

Very poor communication. Once they get your money, you are just a number to them. From no communication to essentially lying about how long individual steps in the processes would take (2-3 weeks for a test turns into 5 weeks and we were treated like it was out problem?!?!?) For something as delicate and emotional as invitro, I would have expected more compasion, or at least clear communciation.

I highly recommend Insert! The staff is very warm, welcoming, and friendly, treating you like family. I'm very satisfied with the results, despite the process being somewhat lengthy. However, the medical staff is transparent and very professional, dedicated to making your dream of having a baby come true!
Excellent professionals, very organized and willing to help you realize your dream of having a family. I connected very well with everyone from day one. The process isn't easy and takes time, but they find a way to make everything go as smoothly as possible. Their explanations of the procedures have been wonderful, from the doctor and the administrative staff to the fertility technicians and the fabulous psychologist. They have all been very special people, incredibly kind and supportive in answering questions and following up throughout the process. I felt like I was part of a family. I am very satisfied with the results. I highly recommend them!

I went there solely for the pharmacy service, and the service was excellent. They explained how to apply the medication at home, which was very helpful. The facilities were clean; I have no complaints.
