“I’ve been getting yearly eye exams in the United States for many years and no one ever told me I had a condition in my eye. At Instituto de Córnea they did a very thorough exam, explained everything clearly, and discovered that I needed a laser iridotomy in my iris. They were able to do the procedure right away, it was quick and painless, and it fixed the problem that had been missed for years. I’m very grateful for their professionalism and technology and highly recommend them for eye care.”
TERRIBLE SERVICE regarding the care received during a private eye exam for my mother.
She had a scheduled bilateral orbital ultrasound at 3 pm, performed by Diva Laverde RN13377. After waiting for over an hour, she was finally seen. I believe that, given it was a specialized and private exam, it is neither correct nor professional that the procedure lasted approximately five minutes, especially after a wait of more than two hours. Furthermore, the professional who performed the exam did not listen to the patient properly, did not inquire about her medical history, nor explain the procedure. She did NOT EVEN TAKE HER EYE PRESSURE. This raises serious concerns about the reliability of the results.
Later, my mother's treating ophthalmologist expressed surprise at the "normal" result of the exam, considering the severity of her eye injury. This increases our doubts about whether the procedure was performed correctly and with due professional rigor.
The situation is especially delicate, since an erroneous or inaccurate diagnosis could seriously affect my mother's visual health. Therefore, I respectfully but urgently request that the examination be repeated as soon as possible by another duly qualified professional who will conduct a thorough evaluation, listen to the patient, and apply the necessary measures and precautions during the examination.
I expect a timely and responsible response, consistent with the professional ethics that should characterize the provision of healthcare services.
Today, the Feast of the Blessed Virgin Mary, December 7th, I recorded everything from my son's operation. I am eternally grateful to the doctor and his magic hands. May God and the Blessed Virgin Mary always protect that family, and may the angel he sent to our family also be a guardian angel in heaven. Eternally grateful, Dr. Chacón
Terrible service. Even arriving 15 minutes early, I waited over an hour for an appointment that was supposed to be scheduled for a specific time. The receptionist was extremely rude and insensitive. They waste patients' time.
I have had the relex smile laser surgery done on my eyes. I cant express my gratitude amd happiness with the results and how the nurses and doctors treated me. Yes sometimes the wait is long, but they do tell you this up front. It never took longer then expected. Testing beforehand and the aftercare was done very well and thoroughly. I am extremely happy with the results and would recommend 100%!!!
