Patient Reviews on Google

I arrived at the emergency room on a Friday night at 11pm and was assessed, prescribed medication, and discharged by 1am. When I arrived I was seen right away by the triage service. After paying 350,000 pesos (£70) for a consultation I then had a short wait and was seen to by an English speaking doctor who was very friendly and informative. The administrative staff didn’t speak english but we navigated the situation easily enough with Google translate, and they were all very helpful. I wanted to leave a review to help others who might be feeling apprehensive having read the bad comments.

We traveled to Colombia specifically to receive medical treatment at this clinic after being given a quotation of 5,000,000 Colombian pesos for the procedure. As foreign patients, we relied on the information provided when planning our trip, including flights, accommodation, and medical arrangements.
However, during the process we were asked to make additional payments. After the procedure, complications arose that required hospitalization. The clinic did not include in the original quotation the possibility of hospitalization, which required an additional 12,000,000 pesos, bringing our total payment to 15,000,000 pesos—three times the original quote.
Only after all payments had been made did the clinic inform us that the actual cost of the treatment under normal circumstances should have been approximately 7,000,000 pesos. This means we paid more than double what the procedure would normally cost.
The clinic acknowledged this mistake and assured us that the excess amount would be **refunded and transferred back to us on February 12, 2026. Unfortunately, as of today (march 10, 2026) we are still waiting for this transfer and have not received the promised refund.
We have attempted to follow up several times. We have sent multiple emails and WhatsApp messages (at least four times) requesting an update about the refund, but we have not received any clear response or information regarding when the transfer will actually be completed.
For foreign patients traveling for medical care, situations like this create a great deal of stress and financial uncertainty. Patients place a high level of trust in medical providers when traveling abroad, and transparency with pricing is extremely important.
In addition to the financial issues, the overall medical attention and customer service were disappointing. Communication throughout the process was unclear, and the experience often felt disorganized and unprofessional.
We chose this clinic based on trust and the information initially provided. Unfortunately, our experience has been very negative due to the lack of pricing transparency, the hidden hospitalization cost, and the continued delay in receiving the promised refund.
We sincerely hope the clinic resolves this issue as soon as possible and returns the money they committed to refunding, as we are still waiting for the transfer that was supposed to be completed on February 12, 2026.

This medical facility has a departament which deals with foreigners, however its speed, quality, and approqch to operations is not at the level that foreigners would find acceptable.
I got in contact with the department explicitly stating that I am seeking skin tags / common warts / mole removal, and Leonardo confirmed that the price of the procedure on 25-40 units will cost approximately 120 USD. The appointment has been scheduled, I got a slot assigned to see a dermatologist, there was no choice as to when and what time to come.
During the appointment, we were seen by dr Serrato, who, at the time of our visit on January 15th was sick 😷. This "consultation" cost us 80 USD, and we were informed that both warts and a mole can be removed at the next appointment. However, we had to check the pricing again with the budget department.
We went to the foreigners department, from there walked to the budget department, where an accountant took a photo of the referral issued by the doctor. Why the doctor could not email it to the other building was unknown to us. We were promised to have the final cost confirmed within 3 business days the latest.
When the email was received, new estimation stated 600 USD and was all in Spanish. Upon me texting to Leonardo again, with the request to clarify the situation, more days were requested. It took 4 more days of silence and me following up twice to get a response that estimation is correct. I requested a refund for the initial consultation and was denied. Then I requested to clarify what exactly constitutes 600 USD bill and it occured that it's just a mole, not skin tags. Over a week lost for the team to not even prepare an estimate for both procedures requested!
Leonardo informed me he will seek further clarification with budget. We were already 2 weeks past our initial consultation.
Regardless of multiple follow ups from my side, I have only received a new estimation just for skin tags at 354 USD. This was 20 min before our scheduled procedure time, which we of course did not show up for.

You can ask for a translator to get around in the hospital if you can’t speak spanish.
All the doctors spoke really good English!

It was an excellent agreement to have become a strategic partner of UniAndes. Very good professionals are trained
