Clínica Oftalmológica del Caribe

Description

The Clinica Oftalmologica del Caribe is a well-established Colombian ophthalmology network founded in Barranquilla in 1985 by Dr. Luis Escaf Jaraba, with a branch in Santa Marta on the Caribbean coast. Across its centers the group offers optometry and ophthalmology consultations, diagnostic testing and eye surgery, and it reports a large team of ophthalmologists and subspecialists in areas such as anterior segment, retina and glaucoma. Cataract surgery, an outpatient procedure that replaces the eye’s clouded natural lens with a clear artificial intraocular lens (IOL) and typically allows rapid recovery, is a core part of the network’s work. The Santa Marta location provides consultation and priority care; confirm directly which surgical procedures are performed on site versus at the main Barranquilla facility. English-language or dedicated international-patient support is not stated on its public pages, so verify in advance. To ask about a cataract evaluation, services or scheduling, use the Call or WhatsApp buttons on this page.

Friendly staff. Good use of biosafety measures in the facilities.

All the means of communication are rubbish, none of them work, a mockery of the elderly.

Honestly, the staff handling this line should be clearer when generating these orders, because they cause confusion like this.

Because when they put *Medical Appointment Reminder*, the patient assumes it's the day of the appointment.

As I mentioned above, even though they provide this image, the representative should clarify that this is not the medical appointment. They shouldn't just put it at the bottom and assume the patient understands how their appointment works. Besides, the patient has to have one appointment for billing and another for the actual appointment. What a deficient system they have, making the process even more time-consuming for the patient, especially for vulnerable people like newborns and the elderly.

It's awful. The service is incredibly slow and confusing. You have to make an appointment just to get one, and it's uncertain where you'll be seen; they send you from one place to another. A friend recommended this clinic to me. He's no longer my friend.
