Clínica de Marly is a long-established private general hospital in central Bogotá, at Calle 50 # 9-67, with a satellite campus (Marly Jorge Cavelier Gaviria) in nearby Chía. It offers 40+ specialties and services, including general, spine, bariatric, hand, maxillofacial and plastic surgery; cardiology, gastroenterology, pulmonology, nephrology and endocrinology; diagnostic imaging, clinical laboratory, vascular ultrasound and neurodiagnostics; and specialized units such as intensive and intermediate care, maternal-fetal medicine and bone-marrow transplant, plus an emergency department, ambulatory chemotherapy, a pain clinic and palliative care. Marly operates a dedicated International Office that coordinates appointments, specialist case evaluations, referrals, and in-hospital and outpatient support for international patients, and publishes some patient documents in English. Amazing patient care. I want to thank the surgery and hospitalization team. This clinic has an incredible and modern setup.

I had a complex surgery there, and the OR was great; the nurses were empathetic, had a lot of human quality, which sometimes is hard to find in these environments, and the personnel in general were so helpful. My doctor is a skilled surgeon, and the team that treated me was top-notch.

I was reluctant at first because I didn't really know the clinic and didn't know it was a traditional clinic in Bogotá, but the premises are incredible. They have robotic surgery, the rooms are clean and comfortable, and the food service for patients is really something. The best “clinic food” I have tried.

The only issue we had was that the surgery was scheduled to be ambulatory, but I had to stay there due to the complexity (myomectomy and endometriosis excision), so we had to wait a bit longer until a room was available was made available. But even then, the leader or Recovery was super helpful and active, and they always communicated what whas happening to me (patient) and my husband. They even let him go in to check on me before we could go to the hospital room assigned.

The instructions were great, the young lady who works with international patients really helped me through the process. But when I saw the doctor, there was an old man with a bottle of whiskey and a glass on his desk! 😳I was really shocked! Then he wanted to send me for an MRI, but in his letter he mentioned a blood test! The lady who was helping me went to his office and got it done. I think he was drunk!

DO NOT GO HERE! I cut my hand between my thumb and index finger. I live here in Bogotá, although do not have insurance. They charged me 2,500,000.00 million pesos to clean my small cut and give me 3 stitches!!! That's more than it would have cost me in the United States without insurance, how crazy is that! I put a tiktok up of my experience and so many people that live in Bogota and that are traveling here from other countries have been warned.

I wish I could give 100 stars to Clinica de Marly. It's truly an amazing experience to go to Clinica de Marly. The service is 5-stars, everyone shows that they truly care about you. The medical equipment is impressive, and the best available. The doctors take their time with you and are very professional. The building itself is beautiful. However, I want to stress that what truly made my visit extraordinary was Carolina, the head nurse (Enfermera Jefe). Carolina is a consummate professional - she is extremely talented, with excellent people skills, a positive attitude, and she sincerely wants the best for the patients. I have recommended Clinica de Marly to several friends. You feel great peace of mind at Clinica de Marly, knowing that everything is 5-stars and that you are at one of the best health centers in the world.

I've been to the urgency care unit twice - one for a car accident, I was hit while crossing the road walking, and one for an appendicitis. I've also been to the Marly for other issues and check-ups. I've always had great service. I do acknowledge that my experience may be linked to my nationality (USA), although I hope that is not the case. I have been treated with care, humanity, and efficiency during all my visits.
